Patients in monogamous relationships and at low risk for sexually transmitted infections are good candidates for intrauterine devices.  Infections occurring while an IUD is in place are most commonly related to the exposure to sexually transmitted infections, not the presence of the IUD.  Please see the related Center for Disease Control Web site below.  If you have an unusual discharge or pain with your IUD, please schedule an appointment to be evaluated.

To better serve all our patients and reduce unused appointment times, we kindly ask that appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Patients who fail to arrive for their scheduled appointment without notice (“No Show”) or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged a $75.00 fee.

No further appointments will be made until this fee has been paid in full.
