Kayley Scruggs, CNM, MSN
Kayley grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and knew she wanted to become a midwife from a young age, as she grew up hearing about her mom’s positive birth experience with a nurse midwife. She moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017. She worked as a labor & delivery nurse for six years both in Atlanta and as a travel nurse in North Carolina. Kayley first worked with Roswell OBGYN as an L&D nurse at Northside Hospital and was inspired by their compassionate, evidence-based model of care. Kayley completed her Master of Nursing in the Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner dual track at Georgetown University in 2023 and is thrilled to begin her midwifery career at Roswell OBGYN!
Kayley considers her role as a midwife and nurse practitioner to be a calling and finds great joy in partnering with her patients in pregnancy and across the reproductive lifespan. She strives to ensure that each person she cares for feels supported, empowered, and informed. Kayley’s clinical interests include trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and supporting physiologic labor and birth. She has a certificate in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Outside of her clinical practice, Kayley lives with her husband, Jeremiah, and their two fur babies, Nutmeg and Cobbler. She enjoys traveling, cooking new recipes, and spending time outdoors.
