Dr. Elise Abernathy, MD
Dr. Elise Abernathy is a native of the Atlanta area. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. She then achieved her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine Savannah Campus. She completed her residency training at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. During her residency, Dr. Abernathy was chosen by her faculty and peers to serve as the Chief Academic Resident. She also served as a chair on the Wellness Committee and was a member of the Program Evaluation Committee. Upon graduation, Dr. Abernathy was awarded the John W. Goldkrand, MD Outstanding Graduate Resident in Obstetrics Award and the David Byck, MD Professionalism and Service Award.
Dr. Abernathy is excited to return to the Atlanta area to join her family and fiancé. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Abernathy cheering on the Bulldogs and spending time with family and friends.
