Joel Higgins, MD

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Higgins grew up in Georgia and South Carolina. Subsequently, he received a bachelor of engineering science and mechanics degree from Georgia Tech. He attended medical school at the University of South Carolina and returned to Georgia for residency training in gynecology and obstetrics at Emory University. Dr. Higgins strives to take the best care of his patients and is proud to be working with a fine group of physicians and at Northside Hospital.

When not at work, Dr. Higgins enjoys spending time with family, attending his church and watching football.

To better serve all our patients and reduce unused appointment times, we kindly ask that appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Patients who fail to arrive for their scheduled appointment without notice (“No Show”) or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged a $75.00 fee.

No further appointments will be made until this fee has been paid in full.
