Megan Wandurraga, WHNP, ANP
Megan was born in Greenville, South Carolina and raised in Atlanta. She graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies. Upon graduation she went to work at The Coca-Cola Company.
While working at The Coca-Cola Company, she earned her MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University. After ten years in corporate America, Megan decided it was time for a new challenge and returned to nursing school at Emory University where she attained both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing.
While at Emory, Megan was awarded the Fuld Fellowship in recognition of her commitment to socially responsible nursing. Megan has participated in community outreach nursing programs with migrant farm workers in Moultrie, Georgia and the underserved in Kingston, Jamaica. Megan holds dual Nurse Practitioner certifications in Women’s Health and Adult Health.
Megan’s experience in women’s health includes prenatal care, labor and delivery, post-op care, menopause symptom treatment, infertility treatment, and all aspects of preventative medicine. She regularly solves common problems such as heavy or irregular menstrual cycles, infections and pelvic pain.
She has received special training to perform procedures including colposcopies, urodynamic bladder testing, biopsies, and Nexplanon and IUD insertions. She has also pursued advanced training to help resolve issues of sexual function, a problem affecting women of all ages. She feels passionate about patient education and enjoys solving complex medical problems.
Megan is married and has one daughter. Her husband works in I.T. and likes to play chess and go running. Megan enjoys reading, watching movies and taking exercise classes.
Together as a family, they enjoy traveling and count Turkey, the Czech Republic, Hawaii, Colombia and China among their favorite destinations.
