Shannon Sugarman , MD, FACOG

Shannon L. Sugarman, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN serving patients at Roswell ObGyn, LLC, with offices in Canton, Alpharetta, and Atlanta, Georgia. She specializes in minimally invasive surgeries, including endometriosis treatment and hysterectomies.

Dr. Sugarman, a native of Connecticut, joined Roswell ObGyn, LLC in 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, majoring in biopsychology. She then completed medical training at St. George’s University in True Blue, Grenada, and the University of Connecticut in Storrs. 

After residency, Dr. Sugarman completed a two-year laparoscopic surgery fellowship in New York. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. 

Dr. Sugarman chose OB/GYN as a specialty because she likes caring for women at all stages of their lives. It’s rewarding to help patients as they move through various phases of their reproductive lives.

Outside work, Dr. Sugarman enjoys running, Pilates, traveling, and spending time with her two children and husband.
